| Commitment Ceremonies on Maui As Hawaii is poised to be the sixth state in the country to recognize civil unions, we perform commitment ceremonies on the island of Maui, Hawaii for both gay and straight couples. Gay couples who choose a commitment ceremony may register with the State of Hawaii as Reciprocal Beneficiary Partners. All our packages include the legal paperwork to be filed for this status. Residencey in the State of Hawaii is not necessary. The the Hawaii civil unions bill passed by both houses of the state is awaiting the governor's signature. Your romantic Hawaii ceremony can be religious or non-religious. Ceremonies begin with a welcome, traditional lei exchange, followed by the vows. Couples repeat traditional or contemporary vows, or couples can recite their own. Rings are then exchanged, followed by a brief closing. Click here to see the various ceremonies. Package pricing for your Maui ceremony starts at $365.00. Click here to see packages. You can select various island locations for your special day. Our favorite is Poolenalena Beach, which has a secluded side to it, which allows for more intimacy and privacy.
